Kazan is located at the intersection of two rivers.
Apparently there is a flow of fish from the smaller of the rivers which ends up in the mighty Volga.
During the frosty winters people are sitting on the ice with no fear of it breaking.
Deep frozen. The colors grey, white, everything emanating frost.
You might be forgiven for thinking that what you see are sealions or birds. But in fact each of these black dots represent a human being on the ice using a small drill to go through the ice and then in with the fishing cord.
